On this Shrove Tuesday as I prepare for Lent to begin tomorrow - this is why I do what I do: Watch this Video from 60 minutes: Hard Times Generation.
This is my call. No child should strive to be invisible. This is an invisible epidemic - and we can go to bed tonight and forget we ever watched this video. But tomorrow I will wake up, receive my ashes and remember from dust I came and to dust I will return and in the meantime I will serve these children and share with them how beloved, treasured and sacred they are in God's eyes.
